Welcome Friend!
I’m so happy you’re here.
My name is Sandy, and I live in the beautiful Northwest Florida sunshine. I’m blessed to be the mom of three amazing adult children and Mamère to eight extraordinary grandchildren who bring endless joy to my life.
This little corner of the internet is more than a lifestyle blog—it’s an invitation to slow down. I hope you’ll settle into the porch swing beside me, where the sweet tea is cold, the cookies are fresh from the oven, and an English cottage garden dances in the summer breeze. We’ll chat like old friends about books, recipes, gardens, travel, faith, and the simple joys that make an ordinary life feel extraordinary.
You’ll usually find a Jude Deveraux novel tucked into my beach bag, something delicious simmering in the kitchen, flowers blooming in the garden, or me dreaming up my next adventure.
Lately, that adventure has taken the shape of a little van I affectionately call Poppy. As a solo female pilgrim, I’ve discovered a deep love for van life and the freedom it brings. My love for the outdoors began long ago with my daddy, who worked for the Colorado Fish and Game Department, teaching me to appreciate God’s creation. Later, my wonderful stepdad gave me the gift of seeing our beautiful country from coast to coast. Now, with Poppy as my faithful traveling companion, I continue exploring God’s breathtaking world one back road, mountain trail, and quiet beach at a time.
Life hasn’t always been easy. Like many women, I’ve walked through seasons of heartbreak, uncertainty, and challenges I never expected. Yet time and again, God has gently led me toward healing through faith, nature, creativity, and the quiet places where His presence is easiest to hear.
That journey is what I hope to share with you.
My deepest prayer is to encourage women to find peace, purpose, and courage through their relationship with Christ. I want you to see yourself in the stories of Sarah, Rahab, Ruth, Elizabeth, Mary, and Mary Magdalene—women who were imperfect, brave, vulnerable, and beautifully redeemed. Through ordinary women willing to trust Him, God changed the world forever. I believe He’s still doing that today.
Whether you’re planting your first garden, baking bread, chasing sunsets, traveling solo, decorating your home, or simply trying to find joy in this season of life, I hope you’ll discover that adventure doesn’t always require a passport. Sometimes it begins with a single brave step of faith.
And before you go, let me leave you with this…
That dream you’ve been setting aside because it feels too hard, too risky, or you’re waiting for “someday”?
This is your sign.
Everything feels scary before the first step. But once you take it, you’ll discover that courage grows with every mile, every prayer, every sunrise, and every act of faith.
So come pull up a chair on the porch.
Pour yourself a glass of iced tea.
Stay awhile.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I can’t wait to share this beautiful journey with you.
With love,
Sandy
